Boards for a hearing: large type, one claim per sheet
We print hearing boards at a size that keeps one claim on each sheet: “Open building applications, 14 March, by stage,” or “Food premises past interval, District 2.” Mixing both on one board invites a pointer fight.
Type is set so the date and the count survive a photograph taken from the gallery. Source lines sit at the bottom in smaller type: stamp book, depot sheet, or inspector’s list, with the page range. If a figure is untraced, the board says so in the same size as the count.
Officers rehearse with the actual boards, not with a laptop. The laptop glare is a different object. The board is what the minutes will describe.
After the hearing we leave a paper copy with the records officer. The local workstation copy matches the boards. If later someone reprints a prettier chart with rounded numbers, the paper copy is the check.
